Busy Bee

Wow, it sure feels like it's been forever since my last post. My parents came to visit and I haven't had squat for time to get on here and blog. So since the last post, I have a ton to write about. Bare with me here peeps.

1. Since finding Mr. Turtle in our yard (which by the way he finally left after about 3 or 4 days and had since returned again/then left again) we have encountered yet another reptilian friend. He decided to take up residence in our porch roof.

Yes my friends, that is a huge, ugly, nasty Gopher SNAKE. He went up in our porch roof to eat the little birds that have built a nest up there. Needless to say, they are no longer living, bless their little hearts. We went and got our neighbor to come and help us get him down. He's lived here for 25 yrs. plus and we knew he'd have a better idea of what it was and if it was poisonous. He assured us this guy is not poisonous, but was huge compared to the ones he has seen. As you can see, from head to tail this guy was at least 4 foot long. And the hiss on him was mean. Hubs got a few of them when he took the broomstick to him! lol

2. My boys on the ice have been kicken ass. Granted, they lost the last game to those Penguins, but we still have 4 more games. The series is 2-1 right now, and all we need is 2 more wins. At least we didn't get skunked in the last game like they did the 1st 2. Let's go Red Wings!!!! Stanley Cup here we come.

3. My parents were here for the last 10 days. It was a very nice visit and the kids and I loved spending time with Grammy and Papa. We hung out, played euchre and darts, went to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park, and had 2 birthdays while they were here. All in all it was fun and exhausting all at the same time.

Grammy and Papa with the kids!

Wild Animal Park!

This is Me and Mom the week of our birthdays. Yep, she had me a day before her birthday (what a wonderful gift ahh Ma? lol). On my birthday we had chocolate cake and on her birthday we had Strawberry Shortcake. Yum!
Ok, I am pooped. Now that Ma and Dad are gone I have to get back to my routine and get my shower in before the boys get up from their not-so-sleeping nap. I will post more later. Especially after my Wings kick ass in Saturdays game! lol

Happy Together

Catchy tune ahh? By the Turtles.

"I can't see me lovin nobody but you, for all my life...."

That's what the turtle world is saying about moi right now!

They love me, they really love me.

Remember the tear jerking tale I graced you with a couple weeks back about the desert tortoise who tried to cross the road? The one I so selflessly saved, while putting my own life in jeopardy? The turtle that I put before myself, just to get him to safety on the other side of the road? The turtle that owes his life to me?

Well he has gone and told all his friends about me.

This turtle came to say hello this morning. Either that or "Thank you", or "I am so grateful", or "I truly, truly love you". Something along those lines.

The kids got a kick out of him. Crazy spotted him out the front windows.

"Mama, Mama, there's a turtle out there in the yard!"

"Yeah, sure hon, whatever" I go about my work.

"Mama, Mama, there's really a turtle, look!"

"OK hon, give me a sec" roll my eyes.

"Mama, Mama, that turtle's moving real slow. Look, he moving real slow!"

At this point I start to think, what the hell is he talking about. I go over to the window and look out.

"Holy shit, there really is a turtle out there! Oh, sorry, don't repeat that!"

"Told you!"

I took them out there and took some pics with Mr. Turtle. And then, because I am informative and shit, I told them about how you never should touch them unless they are in danger, and you need to just let him go about his way.

"But I want a turtle pet! Can we take him inside and keep him?" says Crazy

So much for informative.

Dealing with the BS

Ok, not much of a break, I know, but I couldn't stay away! lol

I am still in the process of receiving emails from all my blogger buds to add to my list. So until I am sure I have everyone, I want to leave it public.

Be sure to send me your email if you haven't already, I'd hate to lose any viewers (choppzs3rdtime@yahoo.com)

Since the last post, my youngest, Baby Boy (who isn't much of a baby anymore) has decided it is his time to finally use the toilet. Last night, just like a typical man, he non-schalantly told me he had to potty, ran into the bathroom, sat down, and took his first leak in the potty. It completely threw me for a loop. So today, we are stark naked, and making bathroom trips at least every 1/2 hour in the hopes that he will do it again. I am just letting him tell me when, so he doesn't feel pushed, and hopefully he will be a potty trained, little dude soon! Having a big brother and treats help! lol

We are also in the process of training another young man. His name is Sokka. He's the newest, animal addition to our family. Hubs adopted him from a shelter/kennel here in town. He's a royal pain in the ass. Climbs on the furniture, tries to eat off the kitchen table, and fights with the other dogs when they even attempt to walk past his coveted toys. He's still a pup, so we are giving him some slack, but believe me, his ass got worn out when I found him up on the table!!! That's a BIG no no here. Usually the dogs are sent outside when we eat. We can't stand begging animals. So to find him on the table nearly sent him to his death. lol.

On another note, my boys are kicken some serious ass in the series against the Stars. The game last night was intense. Both teams played their hearts out. And there was some serious checking going on. It was a kick ass game. I hear that Stanley Cup callin our name!!

So I leave you with the littlest man leaving his mark on society!

4 Years of Craziness

Today, Crazy is 4! We had his party this weekend, and he had a blast. This is his 2nd year of wanting a Spiderman birthday. Totally fine with me, I get to re-gift with the gift bags from last year! lol

Crazy is my miracle baby. I call him that because it took us 3 long years to get pregnant with him. Despite being on fertility meds and going through un-godly amounts of poking and probing from doctors I still was not able to get pregnant. Defeated by it all, we gave up. Quit the meds, quit the doctors. Then Hubs leaves for a 6 month deployment, comes back, and after 3 months of "catching up", lol, Crazy came into our lives. See, all it takes is a little time away!!!

He's my Crazy Boy!

This is the lizard that came to see Crazy this weekend for his birthday party. Ok, if you see him next to that bicycle peddle, he is about the size of it, but a bit longer. He was HUGE. He scared the living daylights out of me when I saw him.

Smack That Ass

Alright Everyone, give that ass a good wallop.

That one's for the Wings.

My Boys wiped the ice with Colorado last night, which means we have won that series.

Now who's next on the list??
