Up in Smoke

March 4, 2009 I quit smoking..so on Dec. 4 it will be 9 months smoke free. Just wanted to remind myself of that.

I was also just reminded that this will be my 1st Christmas without my Pookey..7 months gone on Dec. 24th..I still miss her very much!

My parents, after almost 40 years of marriage have decided to get divorced. Very strange, and very surreal not to see them together. But I am at an age, and stage in my life, where I realize what happiness is. And if being apart makes them happier then them being together, then I am all for it.

Little Boy Bean is causing an uproar with my innards...making me potty more, and giving me a hard time when I try to bend over to tie shoes. lol

Thanksgiving break starts Wed. for the kids. A long weekend, and Thanksgiving dinner with friends. I am very grateful to have these friends during a time in our life when we are not able to be closer to our families. Makes me very sad and emotional just thinking about family during these times.

Beautiful Boy

Because we are so impatient..today we took a drive and had a 3-D ultrasound done. Because baby is still quite small, skinny and just an overall scrawny little thing, we could not get a good 3-D pic. But we did get some awesome regular ultrasound pictures, and we were able to see that we are indeed, having another little boy! What an amazing sight.

Little Fingers, Little Toes

On Nov. 9th we had our "official" ultrasound. But unfortunately, Mr. or Miss Thing in there would not cooperate and show us their privates. So no luck yet finding out what we are having. The tech also did not give us a picture. We already have 3, so I am not complaining. That is more then most people get throughout their pregnancies.

We also have finally felt the baby move (last week sometime)..it is an amazing thing when you finally are able to feel that life moving around inside you. It makes it just a bit more real. The kids were so excited to be able to feel the baby. They are demanding to feel my belly every chance they get. Girly and Crazy are still insisting on a girl. Baby Boy has now changed his mind and wants a brother.

My next appt. is next week on the 17th. I am keeping my fingers crossed she will do an ultrasound and maybe be able to tell us the sex. I am so impatient. I will not be able to wait till the birth to find out. lol

Knocking on Heaven's Door

On Oct. 31, 2009 Chris' dad..Jack..passed away unexpectedly. He retired from the Navy after 31 years, had 4 beautiful children, and 7 beautiful grandchildren with 1 on the way. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.

Baby Love

15 week appointment...

The nausea has pretty much diminished..except for 1st thing in the morning. I still throw up every morning. I have a feeling that just may be the way things are for the rest of this pregnancy! lol

Our Dr. appointment went great. Baby's heart rate was normal and everything looked great. She did an ultrasound, but said it was still a bit early to be able to see any parts that would tell us the sex. We have our official ultrasound on Nov. 9th where she said they should be able to see the sex if the baby cooperates.

Once again, here is Baby #4. You can easily make out the face in this picture. He or She was smiling for the camera!

11 weeks down....29 to go....

Today was my 11 wk. appointment. It went fantastic. Baby was moving around like crazy. I was able to distinguish the arms and legs and see how he/she was bouncing off the walls. Heartbeat was 150 bpm and he/she measured at 10.5 wks. It was amazing to watch the movements and to have Baby Boy there to see the baby. He got very excited when he got to see the screen and insisted that he wanted to hold the baby.

My morning sickness is diminishing and I am only nauseous a couple times a day now. And of course when I smell something that triggers it. The last 2 days I have had a horrible cold though and that has really pissed me off. lol. I am finally starting to feel better and then get slammed with this. Girly and Baby Boy have it too, and Crazy is coming down with the cough today. We are all just a bunch of snot nosed, hacking, sore throated people. lol

The kids are doing great in school. Crazy is really enjoying riding the bus and going to Kindergarten. Girly is loving her cheerleading and her grades are spectacular. Her 12th birthday is tomorrow. My Girly is growing way to fast. Baby Boy is having the best time being the "only child" at home right now, and I think he is thriving on the attention. lol. He does whine for a bit when brother leaves for school, but turns around pretty quickly when he gets all Mommy's attention. lol

Be True To Your School (date should be 9-14-09)

September 8th, 2009 the kids went back to school. Girly started the 7th grade, and Crazy Boy had his very first day of Kindergarten. Then today, Crazy rode the school bus for the first time. He was so excited. The 1st day of school I thought I would be OK with Crazy being in school..until I dropped him off at the playground and found myself waiting in the parking lot till the bell rang and his teacher rounded them up and took them to their classrooms. I watched him play by himself, and sat there thinking "my poor baby is probably so lonely..." and "maybe I should just go over there and play with him till the bell rings?" and things like that. When in reality, he was having the time of his life, and he could care less that he didn't know anyone and was playing by himself. Then today he rode the bus for the first time. I know his Sissy is taking good care of him, but it still makes me so nervous that I am not at the school to make sure he goes where he should and make sure he doesn't get scared if he ends up somewhere he shouldn't be. I guess the 1st day jitters don't go away with your first child!

At 10 weeks I am still sick as can be. Throwing up non-stop and the smell of everything makes me ill. I am hoping it stops soon! Chris has been wonderful with making dinners and taking care of the kids and cleaning the house. I am very lucky to have him!

Truckin

Baby Bean #4

All went well at my OB/GYN appointment on the 25th. She did an ultrasound and saw only 1 baby in there...I can easily say I was a bit relieved. lol She gave me a due date of April 12th, 2010, even though all the charts and computers have given a date of April 11th. Baby's heart rate was 142, and everything looked well. At my appointment I was 7 weeks 2 days. I am to start all the lovely blood work that comes along with pregnancy. I will probably be going in in the next couple weeks to get it done.

I am nauseous beyond belief. Actually, this does not surprise me at all. Each child has done this to me, only in different ways. I was hoping to escape the sickies, but alas, I am not that lucky. I am hungry all the time, but as soon as I get a whiff of anything, I want to puke. Hub's cologne, air fresheners, fried meat, meat in general, soaps, toothpastes, pretty much everything. lol. I am getting the headaches again, and I am trying all I can to not let them get the best of me. The kids have been a tremendous help. Girly has been getting the boy's their meals, and Hub's has been cooking dinners.

School starts up on Sept. 8th. Crazy starts Kindergarten and Girly will be in 7th grade. It's absolutely crazy to me. I am nervous for Crazy, but I think he will do wonderful. He will ride the bus this year, except for the first week or so when I will take them so he can get used to school. We got school clothes shopping done, and they are both excited for the year to begin. Girly is on cheer squad this year. She had a cheer camp last week and is so excited to be a cheerleader. She looks so cute in her uniform. When I get a chance to snap a picture of her in it, I will post it. They are suppose to wear them on the first day of school, so I will be sure to get lots of pics then.

A Grand Adventure is about to Begin. ~Winnie the Pooh

6 weeks, 2 days....

My first appointment is on August 25th..and I am anxiously waiting...

Why?

Because I need to be told, in no uncertain terms, that there are not multiples in there. lol.

I am so happy to have the same OB/GYN that I had with Baby Boy. I loved her and she was always happy to do what I was comfortable with. Not what was more convenient for her.

I have had a couple mornings of nausea, but nothing bad. I am keeping my fingers..and toes..crossed that it stays this way.

The kids are immensely happy. Girly wants a girl, Crazy wants a boy, and Baby Boy agrees with whoever is around him at the time. lol. Baby Boy will point to my belly and ask "baby?" and when I tell him "yes" he giggles and runs away. What a cutie.

I am happy. I am excited. I am so blessed.

Life is a Highway

This past weekend we took ourselves a road trip. We didn't anticipate being gone all day and all night, but alas, we were. We left Friday morning around 9 and did not return until Saturday morning at 4 am. We left Cali, and went into Nevada. Left Nevada and went through Arizona. Left Arizona and went into Utah. We took both puppies, which was a first. We also almost lost Stupid aka Sokka in the Arizona forest, but Hubs was able to get him back. After he almost went into cardiac arrest from running so much at such a high altitude. Dumbass dog. We went through Zion National Park in Utah. It was a beautiful ride. We stopped on numerous roads to let the kids..and dogs pee. We heard the phrase "Can we go home now?" millions and millions of time, and the kids heard the phrase "Shut your mouths!" millions and millions of times. It was a fun time, and I will bet money that we will not be doing it again for a while.
