Summertime Blues

To hot to send them outdoors.

Going crazy with them indoors.

Any suggestions.

And if you mention the local pool....holy crap, then you've never been to a local pool, in the middle of summer, in a desert town.

Packed. To packed to have any fun.

I'm with you on the public pool thing...like being in a sardine can and it's full of chlorine and pee. We have the same problem here in Phoenix - to hot to do ANYTHING!! Every year we swear we are going to move, then winter comes and we mangage to get through one more year, but we are seriously wanting out of here. It helps that my husband is out of work right now, only in that he can occupy the kids a little bit.

speaking from past experience and the memories r very mellow in my mind and i won't mention anyone special but the secret is.....rum and coke,7..7,beer,cheap wine anything to take you to lala land and like magic u all have angel wings and halos and yes u do come down but the high was worth every drop of the stuff, can't handle it no more...but that's ok...u see the problem grew up and now has the little problems,i love it when history repeats itself...cheers:)

It's Saturday. Leave them with the hubs and do something fun by yourself or with a friend! haha! I don't go to public pools either...especially by myself with 3 kids. Crowds and chaos make more of a headache!

oh momma.. I hear you.

pottery painting place? library? bowling? (notice the theme of indoor places?)
we've also been switching to giving the baths during the daytime. great way to cool-off, get clean, and have one less thing to do at bedtime. of course this means I have to man up and do them by myself... but it does change the kids' attitudes when it gets too hot.
